Wires are becoming less of a common sight in today’s world with wireless options becoming available for almost every aspect of the latest digital devices. One thing that most of us didn’t see coming though was the ability to wirelessly charge our devices. The idea has been around for a while, the first major break through to the mainstream was Palm’s Pre, since the touch stone was introduced, it’s become one of the most desired features for any mobile device.

There has been a number of solutions that have been produced, the majority of which are for the iPhone due to their popularity. The iPhone is available for free from freebiejeebies. The majority of solutions have lacked build quality and have been bulky beyond their worth, wireless charging becomes somewhat less valuable when you have to plug in an adapter to do it. Just recently a wireless charging standard has been set and big name companies are already signing up to it, no word from Apple as yet though.
